    Clinical Mental Health Counseling Student, specializing in Art Therapy

    Kanisha is a dynamic individual with a passion for mental health and the healing power of art. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice from American International College. Currently, she is dedicatedly pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Art Therapy at Lesley University.

    Kanisha’s experience in working with children and families from diverse backgrounds in both in-home therapy and residential treatment settings has shaped her into a compassionate and understanding professional. She has provided valuable support to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self-esteem, trauma, self-harm, and eating disorders.

    As a digital content creator, mental health advocate, and art therapist of Haitian descent, Kanisha is driven by her desire to help others and create a safe space for individuals to explore their creativity and improve their emotional well-being through artistic expression.

    Beyond her professional pursuits, Kanisha is a lover of all things à la mode. She adores diversity, creative expression, alternative healing, classic 90s romance/dramas, and traveling. A visual learner, an innovator, and an unconventional free-spirit, she radiates joy, compassion, and comfort to all those she encounters.

    Kanisha’s guiding motto in life is, “You didn’t come this far, to only come this far” – reminding us all to keep pushing forward and embracing new heights.
