Shantel is an outpatient clinician at Leading Light Behavioral Health. Originally from New York City but relocating to Massachusetts to attend William James college. She is currently enrolled in a Doctoral Psy.D. Program in Clinical Psychology. She is passionate about the mental health field and has a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. She has spent several years providing counseling services to victims of crime and domestic violence at the Bronx Family Court. She was a devoted crime victim advocate at the New York County District Attorney’s. She is deeply passionate about providing mental health services to disfranchised groups who have been impacted by the criminal Justice system. She is working to be a licensed clinical Psychologist with a focus on forensic psychology. In the future, she hopes to provide therapeutic services to incarcerated individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and trauma.
