Nikia (she/her) is a compassionate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker hailing from Boston, MA. She obtained her Masters of Social Work from Boston University and has since dedicated her career to working with youth and families in diverse settings, including schools, outpatient facilities, and Intensive Home-Based Therapy (IHT).
Nikia’s passion lies in meeting her clients where they are, and establishing a strong foundation to support their therapeutic journey. She firmly believes that clients possess inherent wisdom and understanding of their own experiences, and she sees herself as a facilitator, assisting them in unlocking their full potential. Taking a holistic approach, Nikia empowers her clients to cultivate self-agency and navigate their personal growth.
Throughout her professional career, Nikia has primarily focused on working with individuals who have faced trauma, eating disorders, and mood disorders. Her expertise spans various settings, including schools, inpatient facilities, in-home therapy, and outpatient programs. She recognizes that everyone possesses unique strengths, and sometimes, we all need a guiding hand to unlock the beauty and magic within ourselves. Nikia is enthusiastic about joining you on your personal journey and helping you realize your true potential.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Nikia has a deep love for horses and finds solace in nature. To prioritize self-care, she regularly engages in Yoga and Pilates. During her free time, Nikia finds joy in strolling along the beach, immersing herself in the pages of the latest romance novels, and exploring new destinations through travel. She is always eager to embark on fresh adventures and embrace new hobbies. Recently, Nikia has taken up knitting and has developed a fondness for nature hikes.
