Pursuing Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
Devorah is a warm and compassionate mental health professional who is pursuing her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern Nazarene College. She has been working in the mental health field for four years beginning as a medical advocate for victims of sexual assault and has transitioned to the areas of anxiety, depression, stress, and interpersonal conflict. She approaches her process from a strengths perspective which will identify your unique abilities, wisdom, and inner resources. Her belief is that each client has within them the ability for positive change and healthy functioning. She uses an individualized approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Strength Based practices. Her approach is to better understand how past experiences and relationships affect current situations so that you can build more effective practices to cope with strong emotions and reframe unhelpful thinking. Working together, she will help you develop new coping skills to find greater resilience, empowerment, and contentment in your life.
